This model of phonograph was manufactured by the Columbia Phonograph Company specifically for the British market.

The device features a compact, rectangular wooden base with a removable lid equipped with a handle. Its mechanism is spring-driven and wound up using a crank. In our exhibition, it is displayed with blue Amberol cylinders, which are significantly more durable than wax ones. Thanks to this improvement, the recording time was doubled—to a remarkable four minutes. Now, that’s a proper song length!

Sound reproduction was handled by a straight brass horn, ensuring clear audio projection. The phonograph was also supplied with accessories for cleaning, making it a complete package for music lovers of the time.
