The Tonomat Teleramic 200, released in early 1960s Germany, is one of the most remarkable European jukeboxes of its time. While American giants like Wurlitzer and Seeburg were setting the global standard, Tonomat offered a uniquely European approach — rooted in technical precision, elegant design, and unmatched speed.

The Teleramic 200 stands out immediately: a horizontal selection panel, chrome accents, a glowing logo, and a visible play mechanism behind a glass window. At the time, it featured the fastest record-selection system on the market — tracks began playing almost instantly after the user made their choice.

What made this model truly unique was its control system: a rotary dial with numbers 0–9, reminiscent of an old telephone. To select a track, the user would dial the first digit, then the second, just like making a call. This mechanical interaction gave the jukebox a special tactile charm — choosing music became a satisfying part of the experience.

The machine could hold 100 records, offering up to 200 selections, with a strong, clear sound that filled cafés, bars, and dance halls across Europe.
